My best friend in the world, Tracey, came to visit over the Thanksgiving Holiday! I can hardly believe that Tracey and I have been best friends for 11 years. Wow, we were laughing thinking about how instantly we became connected at the hip while teammates at University at Buffalo playing soccer.
Speaking of Buffalo...Quick Buffalo Blurp! Buffalo Football team has been one of the worst teams in Division I over the past 10 years. Out of 117 teams or so, we are normally rated 116! The past two season have been different and tommorrow night on ESPN, Buffalo plays Ball State for the Mid-American Conference Title. Also, we are guaranteed a BOWL BID this year that has yet to be determined. Mom, yes this is "Yucky" Football I am talking about! Have to give Carisa a hard time on this since Buffalo may be going to a better bowl than Clemson this year!
Tracey has never been to Europe. It was tough to plan where to go and what to do in a short amount of time! We decided on a tour of the Netherlands with a day trip of Brugge in between. We arrived at the train station on Friday night and found 41 Euro round trip tickets to Amsterdam. We knew we were off to a great weekend when they told us the price (normally, they are double that price at a very minimum).
Tracey lives in Boston and has been commuting to work for the past 3 years by her bike. She loves the extra energy she gets everyday riding in. Amsterdam has such a huge biking culture this one was one of the reasons we picked to see it.
We ended up having a great time.. tons of laughter, sunshine in the air (But, hats on our heads with the coolness), and lots of smiles. We practically walked ourselves in the ground, but it was well worth it!!
